Church signs are part
of the American cultural landscape. Like brilliant wildflowers or
persistent weeds, church signs border our highways, streets, and
backroads. You'll see them almost anywhere--rising from Kentucky corn
fields, shadowed by California palms, or even clinging to a stone wall
on New York's Fifth Avenue.
